Mahadev Vishvanath Dhurandhar

Mahadev Vishvanath Dhurandhar was born in 1867 in Kolhapur. He was educated at the J.J. School of art between 1891-95. He was the first Indian Principal at the J.J. School of Art between 1892-1919. He exhibited widely all over india. He was also the first Indian to be awarded the Gold Medal by Bombay Art Society.

M.V. Dhurandhar died in 1944.
